Youth violence is a significant public health problem that affects thousands of young people each day, and in turn, their families, schools, and communities.
A-Block at a time collaborative community-based Youth violence prevention Organization program that was developed with its goal being to improve the community’s ability to reduce and prevent Youth violence and its impact on urban youth and their families. We aim to use different methods in promoting the use of best practices for violence prevention and treating the long trauma-it causes. Our team aims to identify and support youth affected by violence and the trauma resulting from it by promoting and developing safe, stable, and nurturing relationships between youth and Communities that they reside. Assist our Youth develop prosocial life skills. We are promoting safe environments and activities in the community by changing the cultural and social norms that promote violence.
